Texas Tech University will be testing its emergency alarm systems this Thursday in preparation for severe weather season. Both the outdoor siren system and the TechAlert! communications system will be tested at 10:50 am Thursday. Alarms will last for one minute.

Although Thursday is just a test, campus police say that in the case of a real emergency, individuals are advised to find protective shelter immediately. If you are a student or employee of Texas Tech you can sign up for their campus alert system.
