On Thursday's The Chad Hasty Show, Leland Stukey, J.O. Dawdy and Kelly Young from the Protect Water Rights Coalition joined Chad on KFYO to discuss attempts to regulate and restrict private property rights of land owners.

"Our goal is to secure our property rights and our water, because it is our property, as affirmed by the Texas Supreme Court numerous times", said Stukey. He continued, "We feel like the local water district here, High Plains No.1, is way overstepping their authority, and the state, through TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) and the Texas Water Development Board is attempting to overstep their authority in imposing rules for High Plains to follow that we don't think are justified."

The group discussed many different aspects of the issue, and also provided information about an upcoming meeting about private property rights, which will feature Pamela Elliott and Eddie Craig who will be speaking about property and constitutional rights. The Boys Ranch will provide barbeque, and everyone is encouraged to attend to learn more about this extremely important matter.

The meeting will take place at Fellowship Church 9417 4th St. (near Reese Center) on Saturday, September 27 at 10:00am. Donations will benefit the Boys Ranch.
