A Texas Tech volleyball player has been selected to a national team.

Tech senior Breeann David has been selected to the U.S. Collegiate National Team that will represent USA Volleyball on its European Tour this summer.

David, a Denver City, Texas native, is one of 12 players selected to compete in the European Tour that will run July 8th through the 19th with visits to Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia.

“It is an honor and privilege to play for the U.S. National Team,” said David. “I’m excited for the opportunity and would like to thank Coach Don Flora and the coaching staff for the recommendation and Texas Tech for its support.”

David was one of three outside hitters to make the roster.

She enters her 2014 season needing 205 kills to reach the top 10 in the Tech career record book, after getting 282 kills as a junior. David needs 243 kills to become the ninth Tech player to reach 1,000 kills over a career.
