Wednesday night’s opener will mark the 63rd meeting between the two schools, as Tech looks to break a 15-match losing streak to Oklahoma, dating back to September of 2005.

This will be Tech’s second set of spring matches after the Red Raiders spent spring break in Hawaii, where they played both Hawaii-Pacific and the University of Hawaii.
The Jayhawks have won 12 of the last 13 contests, and now controls the overall lead in the series with Texas Tech. Kansas is 18-16 against the Red Raiders.
Stacy totaled 19 kills in Tech’s lone match last week, a 3-1 win against West Virginia on Saturday Evening.
The Red Raiders will now have a week off between their November 7th home match against TCU and a Nov. 14th road game at Texas.
Tech volleyball currently has a 22-match losing streak against the Longhorns, having been defeated by them in each game since 2000.
Ehrle is the third Texas Tech volleyball player to earn a Big 12 weekly award this season.
This is the first time in school history that two Tech volleyball players have been honored in the same week, and only the third time that multiple athletes have been recognized with a weekly award in the same season.
Some of the top Tech players in recent years will return to give the current volleyball team a try before the regular season begins on August 24th at the Boston College Invitational.
Head coach Don Flora also signed four high school recruits to national letters of intent for the fall semester.
