Texas Tech Named to Most Affordable Colleges List

Texas Tech has been named as one of the most affordable colleges in the nation.

Tech was named as one of the country’s most affordable large public universities by www.AffordableCollegesOnline.org in their 2013 rankings.

ACO compiled their rankings by examining data from colleges, universities, and technical and vocational postsecondary schools in the U.S. The group also ranks large community colleges, small private colleges, and online colleges.

“We are cognizant that student debt is an important issue in the state of Texas and across the country, and have planned and worked hard to ensure our costs remain among the lowest in the state,” said Lawrence Schovanec, Texas Tech interim president.

ACO founder Dan Schuessler said “In a time when the cost of college continues to skyrocket and student debt balloons, it is important to promote more affordable options.”
