A Texas DPS trooper has seized methamphetamine during a traffic stop.

The trooper stopped a 2013 Nissan Altima traveling eastbound on U.S. 84 near Roscoe in Nolan County at around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.

During the traffic stop, a DPS canine unit was called to search the vehicle.

Nearly one pound of methamphetamine in sixteen packages were discovered, along with two small packages of cocaine in the vehicle.

According to DPS, the driver is connected to an ongoing investigation being conducted by the DPS Criminal Investigations Division in Lubbock.

The drugs were reportedly being transported from Lubbock to Abilene, and were valued at around $36,000.
