Tech Volleyball Player Tory Vaughan Receives Honors

A Texas Tech women’s volleyball player has received conference honors.

Junior libero Tory Vaughan has been named as the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, following 31 digs in their five-set drubbing of Baylor last Wednesday.

That dig total for the San Antonio native is the highest for a Red Raider since late 2000.

Two other Tech volleyball players have been honored this season as well, as Aubree Piper was named the Defensive Player of the Week on September 6^th, and Breeann David received the Newcomer of the Week on September 12^th.

The Red Raiders will face off against Texas A&M at College Station on Wednesday evening.
