A suspected member of a gang has been arrested after a chase through south Lubbock.

A Lubbock Police officer stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of 65th Drive at around 3:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 4th.

The driver, 26-year-old Manuel Flores, reportedly exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

During the chase, Flores forced his way into two separate apartments.

Flores jumped from a second story balcony and continued to run from police. He was apprehended a short time later.

Flores, who is believed to be a member of the Tango Blast gang, has been charged with violating parole, two counts of burglary, one count of possession of an illegal substance with intent to distribute, evading on foot, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, two outstanding warrants from the Lubbock Sheriff’s Office and one outstanding warrant from Lubbock Police.
