Our long national nightmare comes to a close as AMC's 'Mad Men' returns this Sunday for its seventh and final season premiere, "Time Zones," but what if you're too busy drinking, smoking and pitching to catch up with six seasons of '60s 'Mad'-ness? Let us give you the meeting minutes and tell you all about AMC's 'Mad Men' in just 60 seconds!
Colorful and vibrant though the full set of 'Mad Men' season 7 promotional photos proved, the AMC drama maintains its reputation for keeping spoilers airtight as we approach the final premiere "Time Zones" this coming Sunday. Now however, the first photos in context from the premiere have emerged, along with a synopsis for the hour, teasing new friends and business for Sterling-Cooper ahead.
All week long we've seen bits and pieces of the 'Mad Men' final season cast come to light amid an airport setting, though a few key characters had apparently gone missing. Now, the full set of cast photos and promotional season 7 materials have arrived, looking brighter and more colorful than we've ever seen from the AMC drama.
The first photos and teaser from 'Mad Men''s seventh and final season predictably didn't reveal very much, unless we're to believe that the entire season relocates the offices of Sterling-Cooper & Associates to the inside of an airport. The second round of photos from the final season have arrived in gorgeous hi-res as well, showing a few more familiar faces amid the 'Mad Men' madness.
It's become something of a running gag that 'Mad Men' keeps spoilers airtight right through the premiere, but even the recent key art and photo from the final season at least implied we might see Don Draper do a bit of travel. Now, Roger, Peggy and Megan have all gotten in on the go with the latest 'Mad Men' season key art, while Matthew Weiner has offered up a few suggestions as to what we might see in "The End of an Era."
Apart from all the great TV premiering in April, from 'Game of Thrones' to 'Orphan Black,' 'Veep' and more, AMC's 'Mad Men' will also kick off the first half of its final season, thanks to the 7-7 episode split of its seventh run. The first official teaser for the April 13 premiere has arrived, and it looks like unemployment has been plenty kind to our favorite former ad man.
The newest season of 'Mad Men' premieres next month on AMC
Though 'Mad Men's fifth season arrived after a long delay between AMC and series creator Matthew Weiner's continued negotiations, nothing will stand in the say of Don Draper's dapper return for 'Mad Men' season 6. Free of any interruptions, AMC has officially set a 'Mad Men' season 6 premiere date of April 7, 2013, with an episode to be written by Matthew Weiner himself and directed by executive producer Scott Hornbacher. With that said, where will season 6 pick up? Will Don Draper be a different man than when we left? Get the latest details on 'Mad Men' season 6 inside!
