South Plains College to Offer NRA Basic Pistol Course in September
South Plains College will offer an NRA Basic Pistol course in September on their Levelland Campus.
The course will cover the National Rifle Association’s rules for safe gun handling, shooting fundamentals, range rules, cleaning weapons and many other topics. The course will comprise of classroom and shooting range components.
The course is expected to run 8-10 hours with breaks every hour and a break for lunch with the classroom portion beginning at 9 a.m. and the shooting around 2 p.m.
The September 13 and 14 class will take place in room 115 of the Law Enforcement Technology building on South Plains’ Levelland Campus. The course will cost $75 and will require preregistration and prepayment.
All required materials will be provided but students can bring their own pistols.
