South Plains College reopened their natatorium this week and posted a variety of different class and swim times.

A non-instructional Early Bird Swim will take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6:30-7:15 a.m. The non-instructional Shallow and Deep Water Aerobics class will follow from 7:15-8 a.m. Finally, the Arthritis Swim class runs 8-8:45 a.m. The instructed and uninstructed classes each cost $50, according to a SPC press release. Their website lists them as costing $60.

The pool will be open to lap swimmers only from noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Recreational and lap swimmers are welcome 4-5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The pool is free and open to full-time SPC students, teachers and faculty with a valid I.D.; fitness center members with a valid I.D.; and Hockley County seniors over the age of 65.

Family members of SPC staff can purchase memberships at various price points.

South Plains also said the pool is available for private parties.
