The City’s Solid Waste Management department provided curbside trash collection to select areas in Lubbock Wednesday.

Trash services were severely hampered by the epic snow and ice storm that hit the Hub City in late December, but is slowly beginning to round back in to form.

On Wednesday, January 6, residents in the following neighborhoods received curb service trash pick-up around  7 a.m.:

125th to 130th Streets, from University to Indiana

98th to 102nd Streets, from Avenue T to University

34th to 38th Streets, from Avenue A to Magnolia

Trash trucks made stops at these locations due to inclement weather that prevented garbage collectors from making their usual rounds.

While trash services play catch-up from winter weather delays, they ask for all trash to be bagged up and curbside for swift removal.

More information on assigned curbside services slated for the rest of this week will be released as it becomes available.
