Texas Tech University will host an annual School of Banking event this month.

The 41st annual School of Banking Event, Educating Tomorrow’s Banking Leaders Today, will feature speaker Gayle Earls, former president and CEO of The Independent Bankers Bank and current Chairman of the Board of AccessBank Texas, along with Texas Tech Chancellor Emeritus Kent Hance.

According to the group, The School of Banking is designed to provide future leaders in the finance industry the skills and perspective to help their careers and banks thrive.

Around 90 students are expected to attend the event, which will begin on Sunday August 17, at 7 p.m. with registration. The course will take place on August 18-22 at the Rawls College of Business.
