A San Angelo man will spend the next 12 years in prison for downloading child pornography.

Tomas Briones was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release. The sentence comes after his July 2012 guilty plea to one count of child pornography.

The 33-year-old installed a peer-to-peer file-sharing software program on his personal computer, and downloaded child pornography.

Briones has been on bond since June of this year, and will begin serving his term on December 7th, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
