A Lubbock man has pleaded guilty to production of child pornography.

45-year-old Lyle Shane Johnson pleaded guilty Thursday to six counts of production and attempted production of child pornography, involving six separate victims.

Johnson was arrested on June 3rd at Wal-Mart, located at Quaker Avenue and South Loop 289, after Lubbock police were called to the area following reports of a man taking pictures up women’s skirts at the store.

Officers reportedly found that his phone not only contained pictures which he had taken inside the store, but also images of child pornography.

Johnson admitted that on six occasions, he used six individual minor females to produce pornographic images and videos, and at times, Johnson photographed himself and the minor females engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Johnson faces a maximum sentence of not less than 15 or more than 30 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and a lifetime of supervised release on each count.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven M. Sucsy of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Lubbock.
