Lubbock police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a bank in south Lubbock.

Police say a man walked into the First United Bank at 98th Street and Indiana just before 1:30 p.m. Friday, handed the teller a note saying that he had a firearm and demanded money, and fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a 5 foot 7 inch tall 40 to 50 year-old Caucasian male, last seen wearing a gray hoodie and dark blue jeans. He reportedly weighs around 160 to 180 pounds, has a protruding bottom lip, and a deformity to his left hand.

He never brandished a weapon during the robbery, and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.
