An area organization will host an annual event honoring the nation’s late military members.

The Lubbock Civil Air Patrol is kicking off its sixth annual Wreaths Across America campaign.

The Civil Air Patrol will adorn veterans’ graves with evergreen wreaths to honor their sacrifices to the nation.

The ceremony will be held at the City of Lubbock Cemetery, where an estimated 3,000 veterans are interred, on December 14th. It will coincide with tributes occurring simultaneously across the nation.
