Lubbock Child Shocked in Downed Transformer Box

One child was rushed to a local hospital after being shocked Thursday.

Lubbock police were dispatched to the 6500 block of Avenue T in Falcon Cove in response to a possible suicide.

When police arrived, it was determined that the case was not a suicide, but a five-year-old child was playing outside and decided to hide in a large green transformer box that had fallen to the ground.

The child was shocked and taken to University Medical Center for treatment.

The juvenile is reportedly in stable condition. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
