Lorenzo Flores and Lonnie Marquez Arrested For Vehicle Burglaries in Lubbock’s Tech Terrace

Lubbock police arrested two people following a string of vehicle burglaries in the Tech Terrace neighborhood.

Officers responded to a call about a red Ford Focus near 28^th Street and Canton Avenue with occupants that were believed to have broken into vehicles in the area just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Corporal Quijada located the vehicle near the 2800 block of Flint Avenue, and pursued the vehicle.

The suspects fled the scene northbound until they crashed the vehicle at 19^th street and Canton, and then attempted to flee on foot.

Nineteen year-old Lorenzo Flores and 20-year-old Lonnie Marquez were arrested by police.

Flores is charged with vehicle burglary, evading arrest in a vehicle, and evading arrest by foot. Marquez is charged with evading arrest in a vehicle and vehicle burglary.

The duo reportedly had property on them that tied them to vehicle burglaries in the area.
