Lubbock police arrested two people following a string of vehicle burglaries in the Tech Terrace neighborhood.

Officers responded to a call about a red Ford Focus near 28th Street and Canton Avenue with occupants that were believed to have broken into vehicles in the area just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Corporal Quijada located the vehicle near the 2800 block of Flint Avenue, and pursued the vehicle.

The suspects fled the scene northbound until they crashed the vehicle at 19th street and Canton, and then attempted to flee on foot.

Nineteen year-old Lorenzo Flores and 20-year-old Lonnie Marquez were arrested by police.

Flores is charged with vehicle burglary, evading arrest in a vehicle, and evading arrest by foot. Marquez is charged with evading arrest in a vehicle and vehicle burglary.

The duo reportedly had property on them that tied them to vehicle burglaries in the area.
