During the weekly Texas Tech press conference, Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury was asked about the passing of former Texas Tech coach Corky Oglesby. Coach Kingsbury had fond recollections of the man.

"Anybody that's met him, he's one of the best people you'll ever meet in your life. Most positive guy ever." Kingsbury continued on how Oglesby showed his positivity: "It didn't matter how bad we got beat on some days, he would act like we were a play away from winning the game."

It was easy to see how well-liked Oglesby was, as Kingsbury alluded to in the press conference. People showed up in droves to Oglesby's living wake that was held over the summer. The event was in remembrance of Corky's life and the profound impact he's had on so many.

"He lived a great life," Kingsbury said. "They packed that arena so that tells you the kind of man he was, and how he affected people's lives."

Kingsbury mentioned that a helmet sticker for remembering Corky was in the works for the Texas Tech-Texas game in Austin this Friday.
