Texas Tech University announced that Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury has been awarded an extension of his contract with the university’s football team through 2020. The announcement comes on the heels of another major announcement for Texas Tech Athletics – The Campaign for Fearless Champions.
In a game that stretched into Tuesday morning for the Texas Tech faithful in Lubbock, the Texas Tech Red Raiders beat #14 Arizona State 37-23 at the National University Holiday Bowl in San Diego.
Freshman quarterback Davis Webb got the start for the Red Raiders and he threw four first-half touchdown passes to lead the Red Raiders to the win
Webb helped lead the Red Raiders to a 42-35 win on Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock.
This is the second series between the Red Raiders and the Cougars since the 1995 breakup of the Southwest Conference.
Over 300 women took part in the annual Women's Football Clinic at Texas Tech
The first of 15 spring workouts will begin on Friday, March 22nd, and will conclude with the annual Spring Game at 1 p.m. April 20th at Jones AT&T Stadium.
Texas Tech will play at SMU on Friday, August 30 in a game televised on ESPN
Texas Tech sends a contingent of administrators and supporters to Austin during each legislative session.
Kingsbury will also address the crowd at the basketball game at halftime.
