Texas Tech says that the record season ticket sales this early in the year likely means that individual game tickets will not be made available for purchase, which would be another first in the history of the Texas Tech football program.
Later tonight, Texas Tech Red Raider Football will hold their annual 'Friday Night Lights' practice, which is open to the public. The practice, which part of the Red Raiders' Spring Practices, gets underway at 8p at Jones AT&T Stadium.
Texas Tech Football will conduct their annual spring practices throughout the months of March and April.
The 2014 Spring Practice season will begin on Wednesday, March 5. Other practice dates of note include: Fan Day (open to the public) on Friday, March 14, Midland Practice (open to the public) on Saturday, March 29, Friday Night Lights (open to the public) on Friday, April 4 and the Red & Black Spring Game on Saturday, April 12 at Jones AT&T Stadium, also open to the public.
