A former resident of Big Spring has pleaded guilty to a child pornography offense.

Christopher Aubrey Harlan pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography.

The 27-year-old Harlan is on bond, and faces a sentence of no less than five years or more than 20 years, a $250,000 fine, and up to a lifetime of supervised release.

Court documents show that Harlan used both his own computer and a roommate’s computer to access child pornography on various websites. He also reportedly used his cell phone to view the illegal pictures as well.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven M. Sucsy is in charge of the prosecution.
