Merry Christmas and Thank You

Well today is the final show of the year which means we get to take a look back on 2014 and have a lot of fun as well. It also happens to be Festivus so on the show today we will let you air your grievances. I guess we allow you to do this all year, but it is a little more special today because of Seinfeld.

A lot happened in 2014, some good some bad. Sadly it appears we will be ending the year talking about race issues and the sad fact that police are now being targeted. Those in the media and those elected officials who have helped spread the message that there is a problem with cops have only worsened the situation.

In 2014 we saw the rise of the Republicans in the midterms but what will they do in 2015? Will they use their new found power to stand up to President Obama and his policies or will GOP leadership fold under pressure? I think we know the answer to that question, but maybe Speaker Boehner Mitch McConnell will surprise me. Doubtful, but it could happen.

In 2015 we will know who will run for President. For talk show hosts, this is our fun season. Will Rick Perry run? Yes. Will Jeb Bush? Probably. What does that mean for Marco Rubio? What does it mean for Ted Cruz? We will all find out together and talk about it together.

As I wrote earlier, today is the final show of the year for me as I won't return until January 5. While I am out you will hear a mixture of holiday programming as well as fill-in hosts Carl Tepper and Ysidro Guiterrez.

I want to thank all you who read the Brief and tune in to The Chad Hasty Show for being out there. The show has continued to grow in listeners and ratings in 2014 and I am humbled by all the growth I have seen. Without you, none of our success would be possible. You invite the show into your homes, cars, and workplaces throughout the week. You tell your friends, family, and co-workers about the show and you show your support by supporting the businesses that advertise on the show.

Thank you!

As we look towards Christmas and 2015, I hope that each and every one of you is able to take some time to relax and spend time with loved ones. There is much to look forward to in 2015, but take time to think back on 2014 and to think about all the blessings in your life.

Merry Christmas to all of you and to your families. See you in 2015!
