Lubbock citizens who get their power from Lubbock Power and Light are now in the transition period to choose a new energy provider. This is after years of work by Lubbock and LP&L to join ERCOT after the Lubbock City Council in 2015 and the Electric Utility Board approved the move.

This means that LP&L customers have until February 15th to choose a new energy provider.
