In Lubbock, we're used to high winds and tumbleweeds. It doesn't mean we like either one of those things, but we are used to dealing with the high winds and dirt and are getting better every year at dodging tumbleweeds as they cross the road.

But are you ready for the possibility though of flaming tumbleweeds?

The Texas Storm Chaser Twitter account has warned everyone that due to high winds and the fact that we are pretty dry in different areas of the state, it's possible that some areas could see tumbleweeds that are on fire.

One thing we know is that it will be windy on Thursday. Be smart and don't throw cigarettes out of your windows or do anything that could start a fire.
