A wreck in Lamb County has claimed the life of a 24-year-old Muleshoe man. Nicholas Scott Wedman died Monday night when his truck rolled at Farm to Market Road 1055 and County Road 74 near Earth, which is about 70 miles northwest of Lubbock. Wedman was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck. Another Muleshoe man in the vehicle, Dean Mac Black, crawled from the wreck. He suffered a head injury.

Another crash claimed the life of an elderly man after he rolled his vehicle on US 84 between Lubbock and Slaton. KMAC 28 reports 76-year-old Jack Mixon was pronounced dead on the scene after he was ejected from is 1997 Oldsmobile. Authoriites say he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median, and went into a roll. He was not wearing a seat belt. No one else was injured in the crash.
