Todd Klein to Run for Lubbock Mayor
On Monday, December 14, Todd Klein officially threw his name in the hat to be the next mayor of Lubbock.
Klein, who formerly served as a Lubbock City Council member, made his candidacy official on Facebook. He released a statement saying:
"It is with the support and urging of my family, friends, and fellow residents along with much consideration and reflection that I have decided to run for Mayor. If elected I will continue my philosophy of citizen-lead government. Working together we can achieve a successful grassroots victory, and I would be honored to have your support."
Current Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson is running for Congress in Texas' 19th District. He is not seeking reelection in 2016.
