Texas Woman Arrested For Allegedly Trying To Sell Her Newborn On Facebook

A Texas woman was recently arrested after allegedly attempting to sell her newborn baby on Facebook. After she was arrested she was held on a $30,000 bond in a Harris County Jail.

Juniper Bryson, 21, of Houston is awaiting trail in Harris County after attempting to sell her newborn on Facebook which according to the ABC 7 began in late September when Bryson posted in a Facebook group called, "Birth Mothers Looking for Adoptive Parent(s)". The report also stated that Bryson had reached out to family members to see if they knew of anyone wanting to adopt.

A family member posted in the Facebook group that Bryson wanted someone at the hospital when she went into labor so they could take the baby boy home. According to reports, Bryson didn't want the baby going into Foster Care.

According to ABC7, Bryson told a family member that she wanted payment for the baby. Enough for her to get an apartment.

"It's not even like that, just enough to move into an apartment so I can work a job and get (my daughter) back, or a cheap down payment, or any car to get to different places to DoorDash. Nothing crazy at all," the message read according to records.

ABC7 reported that at least seven people had reached out to Bryson about the newborn. StateStories.com reports that the child has been placed with a family member as the case goes to court. The site also said her lawyers are planning to argue that Bryson acted out of "desperation" and not malice.
