Time For The 48th Annual Sausage Festival and Oktoberfest in Slaton
I look forward to this event every year, why? Because I love me some smoked/German/Polish/insert flavor here, sausage!
Sunday, October 22nd will be here before you know it and Saint Joseph’s time to shine with their annual fundraiser.
From Saint Joseph’s:
The main menu consists of German sausage made by St Joseph parishioners, Knights of Columbus Council 2571 grilled chicken, homemade German potato salad, green beans, and homemade cakes and bread.
Adult plates are $10.00 and children's plates are $6.00. Take-out plates will be available at the south side of the hall.
Funfest, Sunday, October 22, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., will be celebrated at Saint Joseph School. The Funfest includes silent and live auctions, bingo, games, music, food, quilt show, rock wall and spider climb, country store, a mini-bazaar, and raffles for quilts, electronics, United groceries, a cedar chest, and more.
Sausage (cured and vacuum sealed) will be sold by the pound at Saint Joseph Hall on Saturday, October 21, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Regular Sausage, $5.50/lb.; Jalapeño Sausage, $6.00/lb.; and, Habanero Sausage, $6.50/lb. All forms of payment accepted!
So, come on out to the Saint Joseph’s hall at 21st and Division in Slaton from 11 am to 3 pm and have some great dinner for a great cause!
