Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, new cars, super bowl ads, as well as other auto industry news.

This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2021 Dodge Durango Hellcat, a modified version of an older car that has had a few things added to it. Matt started the discussion by asking Jerry if he would rather own this Dodge Hellcat, or the car he test drove last week, the Nissan GT-R, to which Jerry said that while he really enjoyed last weeks car, he prefers the Hellcat due to it being more comfortable and roomy.

When you get a big SUV like the Dodge Durango Hellcat I've got right now that's comfortable, and roomy, and still has 710 horses under the hood, man I'll tell you what that's a great combination.

The Hellcat has a 6.2 liter v8 engine with a supercharger that puts out 710 horses and sounds like something from the 60s. It also has an interesting green color, an all wheel drive system, great traction, 8,700 lbs. of towing capacity, and a launch mode that Jerry says is so powerful that you have to be really carful with it. Reynolds said that this is an SUV that you could use as a daily driver, or one that you could take out to the track if you wanted. However, Jerry felt a bit strange reviewing this car, seeing as you cannot actually get one due to the fact that they are only making 2,000 of them, and it sold out months ago. The car had a price of $90,000.

Reynolds also talked about several stories on his website carprousa.com, including Nissans unveiling of a new Frontier and Pathfinder, the new Ford Raptor, the top states for electric vehicles, and a list of all the automotive super bowl ads, with the exception of the Jeep commercial as it has been pulled due to controversy.
