Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, Tesla's new car batteries, as well as other auto industry news.

This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2020 Ford Expedition Max Platinum Edition, a top of the line model of the already recently improved Expedition. Jerry started the discussion by saying that since Ford changed the Expedition back in 2018, that he has been a big fan. They made several changes in 2018, including going to an all aluminum body, a 10 speed automatic transition, and upgrading the interior. This specific model has a long wheel base, and Jerry explained that typically cars like this can be hard to park and have a poor turn radius, but that in 2018, they tightened the turn radius and made it really easy to drive in town. This model is big, has 3rd row seating, and a lot of cargo room. Reynolds said that the platinum model is very nice, being top of line, with everything included on it. It also has a 6 cylinder, 3.5 eco-boost engine that can tow 9,000 lbs. The car has a window sticker price of $84,000, but Jerry said, "there's a lot of incentives on this thing. You can't let that 84,000 scare you off," going on to say,

I think it's worth the money to get the 2o18 or newer. I do.

Jerry also talked about other stories, including the GMC Tailgate Pickup, and Tesla making new car models with supposedly improved batteries, that are supposed to be able to go a million miles before needing to be replaced, and have a much improved range before needing to be recharged. Jerry said that it would be a game changer, if they could actually pull it off, but that he will believe it when he sees it.
