Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, shortages in the car industry, as well as other auto industry news.

This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2020 Ford Expedition Max King Ranch. The version he was driving was the max version with King Ranch trim package, which is the top of the line that Ford makes. "The interior is just drop dead gorgeous," Jerry said, going on to talk about the seats that have the King Ranch emblem embroidered on them. Jerry explained that the car has a black exterior, is fun to drive, and has a tight turning radius despite the large size, making parking effortless. The car also has a 3.5 liter ecoboost engine that gets 400 horses, and has 10 speed transmission. The car is also very quiet inside, even on the highway. Reynolds also said that everything comes at a price, and this one has $81,000 on the window sticker.

Jerry also talked about a story on his website carprousa.com, in which he talks about car dealerships struggling with shortages across the United States. Reynolds explained that car dealerships typically try to keep about 60 days worth of cars on the lots, but with the assembly plants shut down for over 2 months now due to the virus, the dealerships haven't been getting new shipments. He went on to say that the only reason some dealerships have any cars at all is because they were completely shut down all April, but now, in Texas, many dealerships have sold off their inventory, and have mostly empty lots. Jerry believes that inventory will be tight all through June.
