Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week as well as other auto industry news.

This week Jerry Reynolds was driving around in the 2019 Ford Ranger, which is making its return after 6 years. Jerry said that the truck was not a full sized truck but was still a pretty good sized, and that it is comparable to trucks from about 10 years ago. The Ranger has a 2.3 liter ecoboost 4 cylinder engine, which concerned Jerry seeing how this is on the smaller side.

"I was concerned it wouldn't have enough power, but it really did okay."

The car has 270 horses, good fuel economy, can tow 7000 pounds despite the engine's size, and has a 5 foot and 6 foot option for the bed length. The only thing Jerry wasn't impressed with on this truck was the color and the interior not being his favorite. The sticker prize for the car is just over $40,000.

Jerry also talked about an issue that he has previously discussed on his website carprousa.com, being counterfeit airbags. Jerry will be joined this week at 11:35 on KFYO by Ginger Allen, the Chief Investigative Reporter for CBS 11 in Dallas, to talk about a woman who recently died in a wreck due to counterfeit airbags, and the threat that this poses as a whole.
