The Texas Tech Red Raiders just lost a two-game set this weekend to Mississippi State in Biloxi. The plan was to return to Lubbock to open their Big 12 season against the West Virginia Mountaineers in a weekend series. That series has now been postponed due to concerns over the coronavirus.

The decision was finalized due to travel for the West Virginia team and not due to the actual gameplay or fan attendance at the game. The statement from Texas Tech said, "Texas Tech will continue to monitor COVID-19 and provide updates as they become available."

This series has not been rescheduled as of now and season ticket holders will be contacted directly about any postponed events in the future.
