
Texas Tech Student’s Vehicle Damaged During Possible Shooting Incident

A Texas Tech student's vehicle was damaged during a possible shooting in Central Lubbock early Thursday morning.
On March 17th, the Texas Tech Police Department along with Lubbock police were called at 3:30 a.m. to University Avenue and 19th Street following a shots fired report. A search of the scene revealed nothing.
Later that morning around 9:30 a.m., a student at the university reported damage to their vehicle. The student told TTPD their vehicle was parked in the Z2-D parking lot east of the Talkington Residence Hall, which is on 19th Street between University and Boston Avenues. The vehicle had a damaged windshield and a bullet was found inside on the dashboard.
