The first class of a new graduate program offered by Texas Tech has been welcomed.

Texas Tech’s Rawls College of Business is hosting the inaugural International Masters of Business Administration cohort through May 27th.

The iMBA program allows working professionals to earn a graduate business degree with a focus on the international energy industry without having to leave their jobs or families.

“Committing to a 20-month program is a major decision for busy professionals, and word-of-mouth is critical in the energy industry,” said Steve Buchheit, international MBA program director. “I see the Rawls iMBA program as a great opportunity to show others why Texas Tech is a great choice for graduate education.”

In fewer than two years, the students will complete four residencies in Lubbock and two international residencies. Tech says that the European and South American stays abroad highlight the global nature of the energy industry from developed and developing world perspectives.
