On the Tuesday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst joined Chad to talk about the current situation on the Texas border, and the status of the recent Texas National Guard deployment.

"Chad it's going well. We've deployed our state police, the DPS, and they're doing a very very good job. And we don't have the full deployment but we're very close to the full deployment of the our Texas National Guard and they're doing extremely well. We've seen in the sector that we've been concentrating on first, the Rio Grande Valley sector, which has most of the criminal activity, we've seen a drop in illegal immigration of some 65 percent", said Dewhurst.

The Lt. Governor also spoke about the cost to the state of Texas as well as the national border situation, and how citizens need to be constantly putting pressure on Washington representatives to demand that all of the national borders be secured.
