On Wednesday's P.M. edition of The Chad Hasty Show, U.S. District 19 Representative Jodey Arrington joined the program to talk about the immigration crisis on the southern border, with the situation rapidly deteriorating and increasingly out of control.

Arrington recently led a delegation to the border and met with former border officials. Describing the conditions he observed, Arrington said,

It's one thing to read about the record numbers of illegal crossings and apprehensions, and triple the number of children and families crossing, but to see it firsthand is overwhelming, it really is. You just can't imagine that our sovereign border is so wide open, and that the control of that border is not based in America or in our enforcement agencies, it's controlled by the drug cartels. And all of this is being aided and abetted by an administration that is welcoming people and disregarding their constitutional duty to faithfully execute the laws. So all of this results in chaos, it results in bad things happening to people of both sides, quite frankly. And it certainly has the folks on the border and in border communities, and we had a lot of conversation with local stakeholders like educators, health care administrators, land owners. They are overwhelmed and concerned, and they feel abandoned by their federal government...It is an unmitigated disaster, and it is certainly self-inflicted by the Biden administration policies.

Arrington and Hasty also discussed the Democrats Party's planned use of reconciliation to further their massively expensive infrastructure bill, and President Biden's intention to restrict Second Amendment rights via executive action.
