Texas Governor Greg Abbott has set May 7th, as a special election day for two proposed constitutional amendments in Texas.

The seat for District 68 has been vacated by well-known State Rep. Drew Springer, who defeated grassroots Republican candidate Shelley Luther in a runoff race for Texas Senate District 30.
