
SPEC is Offering a Minimum of $20K in Scholarships Through Operation Round Up

Through Operation Round Up, South Plains Electric Cooperative is offering a minimum of $20,000 in scholarships.
These scholarships are only available to high school seniors who are SPEC members, the spouse or child of an SPEC member, or has a legal guardian or landlord who is an SPEC member. All applicants must reside within the SPEC service area, attend a qualifying school and participate in Operation Round up.

- New Home
- Olton
- Paducah
- Patton Springs
- Petersburg
- Plainview
- Post
- Quanah
- Ralls
- Roosevelt
- Ropesville
- Rotan
- Shallowater
- Slaton
- Southland
- Smyer
- Spur
- Wilson
Anyone attending private school or who is home-schooled will have their application subject to eligibility verification.
According to SPEC's news release, students who wish to apply for a scholarship "must possess the qualities of honor, integrity, thrift and good moral character. The Selection Committee evaluates each student on financial need, community and school activities, awards and honors and educational goals. The information provided in the essay questions is very valuable to the Selection Committee."
The deadline to submit an application is February 15th, and you can do so at SPEC.coop/scholarships.
