Texas Tech University is currently administering in-person classes to students during these summer sessions.

KAMC News reports that there are around 20 to 30 classes have some in-person interaction during Summer II that started July 7th.

Chair of the Department of Kinesiology and Sports Management Angela Lumpkin says that feedback from students participating in previous online labs shows that students preferred to learn in person. All precautionary measures in this department are being taken to keep students safe.

It's ensured that students will have their temperatures check a couple times during class, and it'll be made sure that they wash hands using sanitizers.

Doctoral Cassie Sapien says that she feels Texas Tech is taking the right precautions to keep classmates safe, but is unsure how the fall semester will work.

Sapien had this to say:

Every student is going to be on campus, they might not take precaution as well as what we are doing now [...] They might not follow the rules so it is scary.
