President-Elect Donald Trump made headlines on Tuesday when he tweeted out that no one should be allowed to burn the American flag. Trump also said those who burn the flag should face punishment. The Supreme Court has ruled that burning the American flag is protected by the First Amendment. While there have been attempts to make it illegal, those attempts have failed.
