Several Accidents Reported Last Weekend in Lubbock County
Several accidents were reported over the weekend by the Texas Department of Public Safety in Lubbock County.
Two people were killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Motley County Saturday morning.
State authorities say the crash happened at around 4:15 a.m. along U.S. 62/70, approximately 13 miles west of Matador. Reports say the vehicle drove off the roadway at a curve in the road and the driver overcorrected and rolled the vehicle.
Thirty-three-year-old Dylan James Campbell and 29-year-old Arnaldo Lopez Jr. were killed in the crash.
A two-vehicle crash just outside of Lubbock happened Saturday night.
Texas DPS says the accident happened at the intersection of FM 179 and County Road 6900. Authorities say one of the vehicles failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection and wrecked into a second vehicle.
Four people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A motorcycle accident happened Sunday morning in Northwest Lubbock County.
Texas DPS reports the accident occurred just before 11 a.m. in the 16500 block of North FM 179. Initial reports say the motorcyclist left the roadway and lost control of the bike.
The rider was taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries.
