Seminole Man Shot in Hand and Leg Morning of Saturday, October 3rd
On the morning of Saturday, October 3rd, the Seminole Police Department responded to reports of a gunshot victim.
The call came in around 7:00 a.m., and police found the victim, identified as 40-year-old Eddie Lee Rodriquez, at the Seminole Memorial Hospital. Reports say Rodriquez was shot in the hand and the leg by a known suspect.
Rodriquez's condition hasn't been made public, but it's assumed he will recover from his injuries.
KAMC News reports the original scene of the shooting was the 700 block of Carlsbad Street, which is a residential block. It's unknown what exactly lead to the shooting, or the relationship between the victim and suspect. If Seminole Police release more information concerning the actual incident in question, this story will be updated with additional details.
After an investigation, the shooter was eventually identified as 38-year-old Johan Klassen Klassen. An arrest warrant was obtained for Klassen, with the charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly weapon, a second degree felony.
Klassen was located in the 300 block of County Road 306 at around 2:00 p.m. the same day.
Klassen was arrested without incident with assistance from the Gaines County Sheriff's Office and was transported to the Gaines County Detention Center.
