On Thursday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show District 19 Representative Jodey Arrington joined Chad in the KFYO studio to discuss current events and news in the district, the state of Texas, and the nation.

Early on in the interview, Arrington talked about the people of West Texas, what the area contributes to the United States, and his honor in being the elected District 19 representative, saying, "We have the traditional American values that are the West Texas values that I think are the backbone of this country. Every day I'm a happy warrior because of who I represent."

Arrington and Hasty discussed the hot topics in the upcoming mid-term elections, including health care, the "caravans" currently northbound through Mexico bound for the U.S. border, the course dialog in the country, the farm bill, and much more.

While speaking about the caravans, illegal immigration, and the integrity of the U.S. border, Arrington said,

I called yesterday for the president to use the military, because this is a national security issue. People have made, almost a sport out of exploiting our broken immigration laws under the pretense of compassion.
