On Thursday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Texas House District 68 Representative Drew Springer joined the broadcast to talk about current events in the state of Texas and to share his summary of the 85th Texas Legislature.

Springer and Hasty discussed many issues on tap for the upcoming special session, "sanctuary cities", the "bathroom bill", and the possibility of Texas Tech University opening a veterinary school in the near future.

While talking about the possible vet school at TTU, and speculation that the Board of Regents may be intentionally delaying action on it, Springer said,

I don't know how your Board of Regents represents Texas Tech when we have twenty seven million people here in Texas, one vet school's not enough. Amarillo's closer to five other vet schools than it is College Station. It's long over due. We need a place for large animal veterinarians to be able to train to be able to meet the demands of West Texans. If that's not crystal clear, you know we might not have the right regents in place.
