A man from Plainview is now booked in the Lubbock County Detention Center as the suspect in a Halloween party shooting.

KAMC News reports that 29-year-old Joshua Angel Rosales attended a Halloween party at 12104 US Highway 87 in 2020.

Police say that Paul Luna and another unidentified person were involved in a physical fight. Multiple people said that at some point during this fight, Rosales walked up and shot Luna. It's then said that Rosales walked out the door.

Moments later, Rosales returned to Luna, who was surrounded by many people trying to render first aid. Reports say Rosales walked up to Luna and shot him multiple times as he was lying on the floor.

Many people at the party had known Rosales for many years, and were able to positively identify him as the shoot. It wasn't said exactly why Rosales allegedly came back to shoot Luna again after the fight had stopped. In fact, the original cause for the shooting to happen in the first place wasn't immediately known.

Rosales has also been booked on a charge of continuous family violence. Jail records in Bexar County indicate that Rosales was arrested on Friday, January 15th.

As of Thursday, January 21st, Rosales remained in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $225,000.
