Pedestrian Killed in Accident in East Lubbock

A Lubbock man was killed this morning while attempting to cross 50th Street at Avenue Q.

The unidentified man was in a wheelchair as he was crossing the street and was hit by a truck.

Traffic during the lunch hour was diverted away from the accident scene on 50th Street.

So far, no word on if any charges have been filed against the driver of the truck.
