Nationally Televised Game Will Showcase Friday Night High School Football In West Texas [INTERVIEW]
On Friday's Chad Hasty Show Steven Orr from the West Texas Friday Night Scoreboard show joined the broadcast to talk about the opening weekend of this year's high school football in West Texas, and what games to keep a close eye on.
While discussing this week's nationwide live television broadcast of two Texas high school games, one of which is tonight's Idalou Wildcats versus the Shallowater Mustangs game, Orr said,
Traditionally they've prohibited Friday night football being broadcast because they said it took away from attendance at the game, so have never allowed that. So they're stepping into the water with a few of these games...A big deal for Lubbock, and a great showcase for smaller-school high school football in the state of Texas.
